Wide receiver Art Powell, center Jim Otto, halfback Clem Daniels, and cornerback Dave Grayson were named to The Sporting News All-AFL first team, as voted on by the players. Guard Wayne Hawkins, defensive tackle Tom Keating, and cornerback Kent McCloughan earned second team honors.
