News

The Raiders beat the Chargers, 34-33, in San Diego.

It was the first Raiders win over the Chargers in the franchise's history, including preseason games.

Clem Daniels gained 129 yards on 19 carries.

Tom Flores and Cotton Davidson split time at quarterback.

Flores threw a pair of touchdowns and Davidson threw three.

Transactions

Fullback Glenn Shaw was activated from injured reserve prior to the game and Jesse Murdock was inactivated to make room.

Injury Updates

Right guard Wayne Hawkins left the game after being kicked in the stomach.

Ollie Spencer took his place.

Guard Sonny Bishop, cornerback Tommy Morrow, and tight end Jan Barrett all suffered leg injuries and the team offered no immediate prognosis for any of them.
