The coaches moved Dick Klein from defensive tackle to offensive tackle and Ollie Spencer from guard to tackle.

The team waived the following players: tackle Jack Stone, tackle Charles Brown, linebacker Charlie Rieves, wide receiver Dobie Craig, offensive lineman Dan Birdwell, defensive back Warren Powers, and fullback George Pierovich.

Birdwell, Craig, Rieves, and Powers likely cleared waivers and were placed on the taxi squad soon after.

The moves brought the roster count down to the league-mandated 33.
